Diogenes Member	posted 02-16-2009 09:55 PM There is a pretty interesting validity study done in the most recent issue of the APA Polygraph journal... The "examinees" were trainees at Fort Jackson and they used an AFMGQT format test. My question is this: The comparison questions they used are not time-barred. In other words, they were just questions like, "Have you ever betrayed the trust of a friend" etc. without a "before" date... I was taught that all comparison questions had to differentiate from the relevant questions by time, place or category. Has that changed? Are there any new rules of thumb on that? IP: Logged

ebvan Member	posted 02-16-2009 10:12 PM Plus+++ constructing comparison questions without time bars appears to frustrate the efforts of the AP crowd. I occasionally use CQs without time bars and then place a time bar on the irrellevant questions in the hope that I might observe a CM initiated on an irrelevant question. ------------------ Ex scientia veritas IP: Logged
